How would you feel if you pick up a piece of $20 note from the ground and what would you do with it?
Probably think of all the things you could do with it, isn’t it?
I guess it worked the same way for children? Well, I guess I was wrong. It didn’t work the same way for Myles Eckert, an 8-year-old boy. He had a different plan in mind! Myles found a $20 note in the parking lot and he was so excited about it! During lunch, he thought about getting a video game, but he changed his mind shortly. But something changed his mind – a soldier who was out for lunch with his family.
He knew he wanted to give the $20 note to this family to thank this man for all that he has done. Myles said that he was reminded of his dad who died in Iraq five weeks after he was born. He gave the $20 note along with this special note –
Dear Soldier,
My dad was a soldier. He’s in heaven now. I found this $20 in the parking lot when we got here. We like to pay it forward in my family. It’s your lucky day. Thank you for your service.
Myles Eckert, A Gold Star Kid.
That’s not all, Myles had a special request. Watch the video to find out.
