Australia

Australia is one of the most amazing places on Earth where nature is it’s best friend. Australia has great climate and you can find white sandy beaches, deserts, mountains and tropical rainforests. The famous Great Barrier Reef, found off the coast of Queensland is one of the seven wonders of the natural world! Australia is also one of the respected countries in the World, because they takes conservation seriously, and they give their all to protect their natural environment.

You have probably heard some of your friends heading there to further their study, going for backpacking trip, set up business or even make plans to migrate there. Similar to Singapore, Australia is a multi-cultural country where you can find different races, cultures and religions.

It is probably one of the best place to live in too. Although New Zealand and UK are almost similar in size, the population in New Zealand stands at 4.4 million compare to UK’s 63 million. Shocking?

It’s easy to travel around and people DO speak English here (good enough to understand and communicate with you)! That’s not all, there are so many kids friendly places to visit in Sweden, from fun amusement and theme parks, interesting museums to big aquariums and zoos. If we get a chance to be there, we would love to explore The Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi!

We love old towns and beautiful canals and there is clearly no shortage of it in Netherlands! Not forgetting the signature windmills here (psst, we heard that there are over 1000 windmills in Netherlands)! The locals generally cycle everywhere and yes, it is probably one of the safest countries in the World to cycle too with its specially constructed infrastructures and cycle paths.

Finland – famous for it Aurora Borealis, common known as Northern lights. It can be spotted at Finnish Lapland, more common in the Wintertime. Not only that, it is one of the safest countries in the World. According to VisitFinland, Finland is the only place in the World to meet the real Santa Claus. He will be there at Lapland to meet and greet all his visitors, including you and me, all year round.

This is the BEST country in the World that takes good care of mother and baby’s welfare. We are surprised to know that mothers get to stay home for almost a year with full salary and benefits after delivering to their baby. Children get FREE education in the local schools too, along with the other benefits.

Canada is not just another safe and beautiful country, being the second largest country in the world, Canda does have a lot to boost. According to Vision of Humanity (2015), Canada was ranked the seventh most peaceful countries in the world.

Besides having clean air, beautiful lakes and rivers, the country is filled with extremely beautiful and kind people. They do indeed have a good sense of humor too, now who don’t know about Jim Carrey?

A beautiful wonderland on Earth – Norway is the country that many yearn to explore. It is a clean and efficient country. Norwegians love outdoor activities and there are so man great hiking sites and camping spots. Norway is another country to catch the natural phenomenon – Northern lights! Yes, many people head to Lofoten Islands to catch this wonder of the World.

However, we do know that Norway is also well-known for it extremely pricey price-tags. Yes, it’s an extremely expensive city to live in. You can pay about $10 for a loaf of bread or about $400 for a night at a basic hotel!

The Danes are known to be happier people because they are generally satisfied with their lives. In Denmark, people used their money differently. Their satisfaction in life in not measured in terms of the big houses that they lived in or the cars that they drive. Generally, they will prefer to spend their money hanging out with their family and friends.

Similar to Finland, Denmark has extremely good welfare for mothers and babies. Do you know that an average mother gets about 52 weeks of leave and that it is FULLY PAID for? What?!

Iceland as the name suggest, a large sector of its land is covered in glaciers. But strangely, it has about 125 volcanoes in the country. It is an extremely special place too, as you can to see both the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) and also experience the Midnight Sun. However, Iceland is well-known for its erratic weather, so it’s a matter of luck that you get to see it.

Iceland is one of the countries that has the lowest crime rate. We were surprised to know that babies can be left in the pram outside the restaurant or mart, UNATTENDED! This is their way of giving baby some fresh air while they have uninterrupted time eating or doing their tasks. And noo… No one is going to come and steal your baby!

Switzerland is famous for its romantic lakes, cosy towns, scenic landscapes, efficient public transport system and beautiful alps. If you have been to Jungfracjoch, you probably would not be able to forget the beautiful views and no doubt, it is also one of the most peaceful and stable countries in the World! Like Singapore, Switzerland does not have its own natural resources, it depends on its service industries like tourism and banking to boost its economy.

That’s not all, Switzerland also remind us of its irresistible chocolate and finest cheese. We can’t tell you how good they are, you just have to try it on your own! Yes, if Heaven is a place on Earth, it will be in Switzerland! However, a trip to Switzerland can burn a hole in your pocket for the standard of living is extremely high. But it’s still a worthy trip to get experience life in heaven, no?
