Kawasaki Disease is the top leading acquired heart disease affecting children in developed countries. It can affect children of all ages, races and genders; though mainly children under the age of 5. What makes it a nightmare for children and parents is its scarily similar symptoms to other children ailments such as a viral fever. This disease is easily misdiagnosed by doctors, yet it can be fatal if treatment is not received within 10 days of fever. There are a total of 200 new cases every year.
