This is a public forum, organized by KK Women’s and Children Hospital. It is a forum that is suitable for parents-to-be with a wide range of topics, including talks by experts in the morning and workshops in the afternoon.

Fee: S$10 per participant or $15 per couple (inclusive of lunch)

The talks in the morning help parents to prepare and gain confidence in caring for their baby, from
(i) Baby Care 101 (practical aspect of caring for a baby)
(ii) Financial Planning for a Young Family
(iii) Learning communication skills with Dr Helen Chen, Head and Senior Consultant Department of Psychological Medicine, KKH.
After lunch, couples can attend a workshop from a wide selection of sessions available. These sessions include:
• Breastfeeding, for instance Techniques for Successful Breastfeeding by Ms. Cynthia Pang, Assistant Director of Nursing and Senior Lactation Consultant Lactation Service, KKH
• Feeding young children, for instance Eating Right! Say Goodbye To Fussy Eating by Ms. Phuah Kar Yin, Principal Dietitian Nutrition and Dietetics Department, KKH
• Child development, covering learning through play, development milestones and speech development
• Vaccination, namely Why Jab My Baby? Are All Vaccines Really Necessary? By Dr Khoo Poh Choo, Head and Senior Consultant Neonatal Ambulatory Service, Department of Neonatology, KKH
