Taiwan is well-known for it’s interesting theme-based cafe and restaurants, hotels and theme parks. And NOW, they even have a theme-based hospital.
The world’s one and only Hello Kitty themed hospital opened in 2008 in Taiwan, Yuanlin. As maternity business and services in Taiwan are very competitive, a local hospital, Hao Sheng Hospital decided to use Hello Kitty to attract mother to deliver at their hospital.
According to Shanghaiist, “The hospital’s director, Tsai Tsung-chi, obtained authorization to use the Hello Kitty image from its Japanese company, making this one the only Sanrio-certified medical institution providing maternity care services.”
This is not just a cute hospital, but one that is fully equipped with up-to-date facilities and technologies to ensure a safe and comfortable child birth experience. All the staff working in the hospital wear Hello Kitty-inspired pink uniforms and aprons. The interior decorations are fully decorated with Hello Kitty inspired designs such as Hello Kitty wall stickers, bed sheets and pillow cases, dolls and even mascots.
Overwhelming? Not so if you are a Hello Kitty Fanatic! It’s so adorable that you wish you can fly over and deliver there now!
